Hello there, my name is Jodie Bowker and I’m the founder, lead designer, and face behind Love of Home!
I’m an interior decorator and window furnishings specialist with nearly 30 years experience. I’ve also been a three-time exhibitor at National Trust Home Shows, and decorator of some beautiful period homes in Melbourne and south-west Victoria.
An absolute passion of mine is older Australian houses and restoring these beautiful old homes to new days of glory. Going beyond the interior design aspects and really looking into the history of the home is important in the restoration process.
I’ve loved dressing up houses, making things, and creating things for as long as I can remember. My favourite past-times are talking about, reading about, and dreaming about … interiors, exteriors, gardens, decorating, anything at all that makes a house a home! Love of Home brings all of that together and connects the professionals with the home-lovers and dreamers.
Love of Home is all about creating a space you can love and be very much at home … your space, your home.

Decor and Styling for Period Homes
A bespoke decorating and styling service for traditional, period, and farmhouse style homes – offering an in-home service in south-west Victoria and parts of Melbourne, and an online service elsewhere.
We love the history and homeliness that only an older home can bring and have years of experience in bringing them back to life.
Renovation Coordination
Renovating or restoring can be a NIGHTMARE! Especially when you are trying to juggle work, family, day-to-day commitments, and life in general! Add into the mix an older house that may not be simply “down the road” and the stress and difficulties of your reno project triple.
Love of Home know the pain of it – we’ve been there. We’re ready to take on the gritty project coordination of your renovation for you … whether it’s one room or the whole house, inside or out! We even have tradies that we trust and recommend.

A move to the country (or a move within ‘the country’ is the dream for many people who have decided that city (or metro) living isn’t for them anymore, after all a change is as good as a holiday and if you can make it a lifestyle change as well, even better!
